Perrelet's limited edition turbine timepiece for Qatar
Qatar, a nation that has spearheaded many technological efforts in the gulf region, has introduced a limited edition timepiece known as

‘Turbine’. This is from the house of Perrelet, a Swiss watch maker, known for their exclusive timepieces. The country, known for some of the best living standards in the world, will launch this limited edition watch through Al-Majeed, a leading jeweler here.
The ‘Turbine’ features several elements in its design including ruggedness as well as higher-end styling. The main case of the watch has been made of 44mm DLC coated stainless steel and anti-glare sapphire crystal. The dial of the watch which has black and white numerals engraved, is made of industrial grade titanium and decorated with the maroon and white colors that are associated with the country of Qatar.
The movement of the watch is powered by the patented Automatic P-181 double rotor from Perrelet, and the power reserve for running the timepiece is approximately 40 hours. In terms of the styling elements, there have been 21 rubies used, along with the hands on the dial being made from graded sapphire, and the special black natural rubber strap.
The water resistance of the stylish timepiece watch is up till 5 ATM. Since it’s a limited edition presentation, only 10 pieces of it shall be made, and too according to the buyer preferences which they can state along with the individual orders.
Perrelet’s other iconic timepieces include the Maestro Edition Musical watch, which came with an iPod dock to play music. Probably not of such an iconic stature, but this edition of the Turbine is sure to be a true collector's timepiece.
