Porsche Family’s Private watch collection goes under hammer at Bonhams
The culmination of year 2009 shall witness Bonhams conducting a rare auctioning of watches from the Private Collection of the Porsche Family in its "Fine Watches & Wristwatches" auction on New Bond Street. The unique collection features pieces by Eterna, Porsche Design, Rolex, Panerai, Eberhard, Jaeger LeCoultre, Breitling, Chronoswiss and Omega. The noteworthy collection includes an 18ct gold chronograph by Eterna estimated at £4000-6000, presented to Dr. Ferdinand Oliver Porsche for his 40th birthday, and Porsche Design prominently known for its different dial designs. It carries an estimated price of £1800-2200. Other notables include a Porsche Design prototypes, the Dashboard PTR-Titan Rattrapante, Rolex Explorer II and Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox Polaris.
