Pankaj Goswami / Mar 25 2010

The world renowned auction house, Christie’s, will be auctioning two of the world’s most exceptional jewels in the April 22 auction. Up for auction will be two dazzling diamonds, namely "The Emperor Maximilian Diamond," a 39.55-carat colorless stone, and "The Catherine the Great Emerald and Diamond Brooch," featuring a Colombian emerald weighing over 60 carats. Estimated to sell between $1 million and $1.5 million respectively, the rare diamonds also make for an exhibit of truly historic proportions owing to their history and provenance. Both the diamonds will be set for preview at Christie's London on March 29-30, Christie's Geneva on April 5-6 and Christie's Hong Kong on April 8-9 before we hear of the new buyers on April 22 auction in New York.
