RF Yachts Proxima Concept grabs eyeballs at the Monaco Yacht Show 2011
RF Yachts which is owned by designer Roland Fredberger, has now taken a break from working on pre-designed yachts and churned out one on their own, the Proxima Concept yacht. Standing across 50 meters in length, the futuristic design of the hull and amenities on board grabbed everyone’s attention at the recent Monaco Yacht Show. What stands out the most is how aesthetically Ronald Fredberger has played with the combination of clear lines, and a soft futuristic look to create the overall appeal.

Not for much of a gathering, this yacht has primarily been built for the moneyed family or a select group of people, who want to spend their time off cruising in this modern yacht. Apart from the VIP cabin, 4 guest cabins, there is the other option of additional cabin for small children and their nanny. There are also 4 double cabins, which my calculations could hold a total staff of approximately 8 members. The location has been strategic to ensure their direct access to the gallery so that they may be able to attend to their chores the earliest. Their cabins are connected closest to the staircase which goes to the upper deck, where there is the open air bar and lounge area, apart from the pilot room. The guests have numerous amenities to enjoy themselves in including the 2 swimming pools, bar, sun-pad, apart from the accommodation suites with designer bath-tubs. The indoor sitting areas have been given large glass panel windows to ensure plenty of sunlight into the interiors, while giving the option to enjoy the sceneries outside. What also strikes a chord is the furniture which is mainly white, and comes in rather minimalistic design, yet blends in so well with the overall theme of the yacht.

Though not much has yet been revealed about the boat, but sources tell us that there will also be a 57 meter version of the Proxima, and the details of the engines could perhaps evolve then. However, if you have managed to get yourself vowing over this concept yacht, you might want to get in touch with Jonacor Marine in St.Petersberg for they will undertake the selling of the yacht.
