RMS Titanic good to sail in your backyard pool at remote’s control

Naveen Kumar / Jun 8 2009

Meticulously reproduced at 1:150 scale and involving over 400 man-hours in its assembly, the 6-foot remote controlled RMS Titanic is a sublime make for all who have always wished to see the Titanic sail. The model has been crafted from over 300 individually handcrafted pieces, including sculpted cedar strips, white maple planks for the decking and mahogany for a range of superstructures. Attention has been paid to every single detail. The RMS Titanic features three propellers that are powered by a trio of 550-watt electric motors. Two rechargeable batteries provide up to three hours of cruising power at 5 mph, and the recharging needs three hours. For a mere $2,500, you can remote steer this Titanic. Just make sure there aren't any icebergs in your backyard pool.
