Selfridges' diamond knickers by Nichole de Carle
The age old saying ‘diamonds are girl’s best friend’ still proves to be true. But, who says diamonds can only be adorned in jewelry. Time and again designers come up with their version of diamond studded lingerie. Recently we told you about the Victoria’s Secret fantasy bra that is adorned with 142 carats of white and yellow diamonds and pearls costs $2.5 million debuted at the Victoria’s Secret 2011 fashion show. And now a high end British lingerie design house Nichole de Carle has launched a pair of ivory silk knickers encrusted with 0.10ct diamond set in a solid silver charm.

The knickers are especially launched for Nicole de Carle Christmas collection and will be available exclusively at Selfridges’s annual white-themed Christmas gift room. Nicole de Carle diamond knickers are attached with a diamond charm that can be detached and worn as a bracelet. These ivory silk knickers costs a little (read much) more than the usual knickers as it cost $366. The diamond used in the charm is of V.V.S clarity and is fairly obtained from one of Holland’s oldest gem stone mines.
Obviously the pair of lingerie would be expensive. But the big fans of Nicole de Carle like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Alexandra Burke are surly going to buy the pairs.
