Share your space with your own robotic double

While we are still far from the sci-fi dream of having robots that can cater to our each and every need, but we are not far from the fantasy of having a robot that has its owner’s face, body, hair, eyes, facial expressions and even voice. Department store operator Sogo & Seibu has announced plans to sell two humanoid robots custom-built to look like the people who purchase them. Priced at $223,000 each, Sogo & Seibu expects the robot to be a hit this holiday season and will take orders from January 1 to 3 at any of Japan’s 28 Sogo, Seibu or Robinson’s department stores.
