Sir Jimmy Savile is to be buried in a gold coffin
With richness at their doorsteps there are several celebrities who after living a lavish life want to bid adieu to the world in style and elegance. There are many celebrities who have asked for an elaborate and expensive rest in peace options as their last wish. Latest addition in the list is the world renowned disc jockey and media personality Jimmy Savile, age 84, who was found dead at his home in Roundhay few days ago. Jimmy had asked to get himself buried in a gold coffin as his last wish.

Savile, who was best known for his BBC television show Jim'll Fix, was always seen wearing chunky gold jewelry and a trademark cigar that will be buried along him with other few goodies like his favorite sunglasses. According to his last wish he wanted to get buried in his best tracksuit.
David King, who was a close friend of Jimmy said, "Jimmy was such an optimistic man and didn’t like to talk about death. But what he did say about his funeral was he wanted to be dressed in his best tracksuit. He also wanted all his usual garb buried with him; his sunglasses, big chunky jewellery and of course a fat cigar."
The body of Jimmy will be taken to the Queen's Hotel in Leeds on 8 November and will be there till 9th November so that fans can pay their last dues to him. The funeral will take place at St Anne’s Catholic Cathedral; will be preceded by a procession around the streets before the mass.

Apart from Jimmy, King of pop Michael Jackson was also buried in a $25,000 14 karat gold plated casket that was placed on order from Batesville Casket Company. Noted Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor too got a classy adieu as she was laid to rest in a traditional Jewish coffin built entirely out of wood using a special glue costing around $11000.
