Sunreef Yachts signs order for an 82ft Double Deck luxury yacht

Naveen Kumar / May 19 2011

An anonymous European client has lately commissioned Polish builder Sunreef Yachts to build an 82ft double decker sailing catamaran. The project follows the successful launch of two mega catamarans over 100 feet each in 2010. This particular client was highly impressed by the grandeur of the 102ft Ipharra, which is Sunreef’s original Double Deck design. The Sunreef 82 DD comes with built-in stepped hull chines in order to increase interior space without sacrificing on performance.

The yacht’s double deck concept features one spacious owner cabin in the front, and a large salon with an internal helm station with spectacular sea views. The yacht accommodates up to seven guests in one beam-wide owner suite, one VIP queen cabin and one guest twin cabin that doubles as a double cabin with an additional Pullman bed. As per the client’s request, they have also built a storage area for painting equipment.

The owner suite on the front has a master cabin, Jacuzzi and gym on the main deck. The airy guest cabins with large windows come with three-way access to a queen size bed. The guest cabins have a separate bathroom and shower, spacious wardrobe, several lockers, an entertainment system and air conditioning.

The interior of the yacht has been done in a classic style to suit the buyer’s liking. The huge cockpit has a large dining table, sunbathing mats, wicker armchairs, a flower area and storage for diving equipment. There is also the space for a tender and a jet ski in a locker that sits under the main sun pad in the cockpit.

The yacht's large flybridge comes with the main helm station, bar with barbecue and icemaker, a large dining table and comfortable deck chairs and a coffee table. The new Sunreef 82 DD superyacht is set to hit the seas in June 2012.
