This time EDOX blends with Class 1 powerboat racing to bring the Chronoffshore Retrograde limited edition watch, designed keeping the boat racers in mind.
After recent developments, EDOX has become the official timekeeper of class 1 powerboating, and to celebrate the association with the sport, came in with its latest sample of horological excellence. The main body of the watch comes in the form of a black PVD stainless case, which has a diameter of 43mm and is around 22mm in thickness.
The dial is predominantly black carbon fiber with silver numeric and indicator hands and the protection is the sapphire crystal scratch resistant covering over the dial. The movement in the timepiece is governed by the Swiss Quartz chronograph movement, which includes a uni-directional rotating ceramic bezel also colored in black.
The numeric on the watch is available in 2 options; black & red combination or the black and light blue combination, depending upon customer choice. Since the timepiece has been targeted at racers in water, the timepiece comes with a superlight body and high degree of water resistance till 300 meters depth, and a genuine hard-rubber strap that fixes the watch to the wearer’s wrist.
Like most coveted timepieces, this one too shall be available on order, and a total of 250 pieces will ever be made. To get a hold of one of them, one would have to shell out upwards of $4500.
