As the saying goes, if you've got it, flaunt it! However, flaunting something like the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder won’t be possible. This is why the "Modena Spyder," the replica of the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder was made. Since it is so close to the original, it also got sued by Ferrari after it was featured in the 1986 classic movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". However, this spectacular and rare 1960 Ferrari 250 GT reproduction of the short wheel base California Spyder was completed by Modena in 1991. It represents a unique opportunity to acquire what is becoming one of the most sought after 250 GT California Spyder replicas due to its limited production as a Modena. This well maintained Spyder has been treated to a unique frame-on restoration over the last year and shows just 41,496 miles on the odometer. The original engine has been replaced with a brand new Ford Motorsports full-roller 302 V8 with the E303 Camshaft - topped off with an equally brand new 8 stack Inglese 48mm induction system. Beyond these ideal specifications, there is no denying that it's an immediate hit with enthusiasts. Asking price as last seen on eBay is $179,000.
