WWII warrior’s watch to go on auction

Pankaj Goswami / Dec 4 2009

A Longines Hour Angle that belonged to a man who was one of the leading pilots in the Second World War, is estimated to sell for $20,000-$30,000 via Antiquorum's December New York auction. The watch belonged to a man named Major Ross F. Cole, who would eventually become the first Group Commander of the 22nd Operations Group. Antiquorum provides this rare opportunity to inherit militaria of this group of pilots whose emblem was "Ducemus," which means "We Lead."
