Xbox 360 designers dream of docking kitchen appliances

Since the concept of modular KitchenScape appliances has been thought of by a firm that has given us the Xbox 360 and the Boxee Box, the chances are high that we may see it for real someday soon. Conceptualized by San Francisco-based Astro Studios, the modular KitchenScape range includes kitchen appliances that dock together, thereby saving a lot of space and minimizing the clutter of tangled cords.

Each KitchenScape appliance - a coffee maker, toaster, juicer and teakettle - plugs into the next one. The same creates a unified system that looks neat on your kitchen counter. The power passes from one appliance to the other, so you need just a single wall outlet. Each appliance in the KitchenSpace range has been designed to save on space and offer more features.

The KitchenScape range is just a concept for now, but considering the successful history of its designers, we expect some manufacturer to put it into production soon.
