Farbio GTS

Farbio GTS

The Farbio GTS, now known as the Ginetta F400 was originally developed as the Farboud GT in 2002 by Arash Farboud for UK-based Ginetta Cars. Till its sale to Ginetta in 2010, the Farbio/Farboud was the maiden sports car planned for production by the company. With an Audi based engine, the model was first launched in ’07 with sales for the model beginning in early ’08. The Farbio GTS is as nicely turned out a car as they come though production of the model was briefly stopped in ’10 and the vehicle was redeveloped significantly before it was launched yet again as the Ginetta G60 at the end of 2011. The Supercharged version of the GTS was retailed with a starting price of £71,675 while the base model retailed for £59,925.

The cabin of the Farbio GTS comes laced with luxuries like reclining, fully adjustable Sparco seats with enough room for a driver as tall as 6' 6". The cabin is also furnished with a new touch-screen-fronted satellite navigation system and plenty of alcantara and leather elements. Standard goodies also include a factory fitted sound system and air conditioning. The ergonomic, spacious interior offers a decent 220 liter boot capacity that pairs with a 76 liter fuel tank to make the vehicle fulfils all the requirements of a long-distance grand tourer.

Exterior

The Farbio GTS is by no means an epoch making looker in terms of exterior styling but it does well to check all the markers necessary for a decent looking sportster. With trim and simple lines, the model combines elements from several well-known classic cars. The vehicle comes with an exceptional aerodynamic grip level thanks to a rear diffuser and a completely flat underside that combines with a space framed chassis and full carbon fiber body to reduce drag. With outstanding performance, the truly refined sports car combines style with an understated elegance thanks to its exterior’s flowing exquisite lines. The normally aspirated version of the Farbio GTS weighs a mere 1048 kgs while the supercharged model weighs at just 1066kgs.
