Fender unveils EC Series Eric Clapton amplifiers
American acoustic instrument makers Fender Guitar have now turned their attention towards special edition acoustic instruments such as amplifiers to expand their portfolio, and a demonstration of their expertise in this art. We have earlier told you about their classic Fender 57 Champ Custom amp, and their latest invention is the special edition EC Series Eric Clapton Amplifiers, which will bear the famous singer-performer’s signature, and will include 3 models relating to the 50’s era; EC Twinolux, EC Tremloux, and EC Vibro Champ. Seems like a must-have for all fans of the star and genre of music!
For those who may not have known, Eric Clapton has always been a great fan of the brand’s acoustic instruments, and has used in many of his performances. Therefore, as a courtesy to the brand, the great singer joined hands with it for the special edition series, that shall boast of a unique throbbing pulse in its sound output, which was noticed only their 50’s products. Other specialties of these products include the fully hand-made construction in the U.S., special accentuator to reduce speaker output, hand-wired all tube circuitry and premium quality speakers which will bring to life the kind of sound one would have heard during the bygone era. On the outside, there is the classic gold and brown color combination of the amplifier body and front grille, which uses pinewood for construction. To maintain the exclusivity of belonging to the select series, there is the EC logo and Eric Clapton signature on the front panels. The pricing for these units are as follows:
