Ferrari builds One-off 599 GTO ‘SP Arya’ for Dubai-based Indian businessman
The special-edition Ferrari 599 GTO, dubbed as Ferrari SP Arya is the latest bespoke Ferrari to emerge from the company’s thrilling Special Projects division. As Ferrari has recently unveiled its one-off special-edition Ferrari SP12 EC (SP for ‘special project’ and EC for ‘Eric Clapton’) which was exclusively created as homage to British rock legend Eric Clapton’s career and his long lasting experience as Ferrari owner. Though, all Ferraris are special but some are more special than others like the world’s most expensive ferraris we had earlier reported. This holds true for this one-off Ferrari SP Arya, custom-built by Ferrari in its personalization program. The Dubai-based Indian business tycoon Cheerag Arya, is the proud the owner of 7-Ferraris and few of the world’s most expensive cars like the Bugatti L’Or Blanc. After Eric Clapton and New York property magnate Peter Kalikov, Cheerag Arya is the eighth person to join the list of ultra-exclusive ‘SP’ edition Ferrari owners.
Popularly known as CA, Cheerag Arya who is 32-years old Indian born businessman fond of collecting Ferraris, actually enlisted Ferrari Special Projects to come up with his dream-Ferrari. Based on the Ferrari 599 GTO, CA’s new Ferrari SP Arya was originally sent to him in a spread of 12 potential designs. Cheerag then proceeded to pick each design apart and put together an image of the car he had in mind.
His wish-list of bespoke features eventually turned into a supercar with striking body details and an improved suspension setups and exhaust system. However, there are no power boosts, and SP Arya comes equipped with a V12 engine which delivers an impressive output of 670 HP.
This new SP Arya will actually sit in CA’s garage along with a host of other Ferrari models, which includes F40, SA Aperta, a 599XX, and the legendary Daytona.
Also, we have earlier seen the custom cars of the rich, which shows that the car aficionados like Roland Hall, Larry Ellison, to name a few, always look for some exclusive and customized editions to match their discerning taste.
Another ‘SP’ edition bespoke Ferrari, the Superamerica 45 was got commissioned by New York property magnate Peter Kalikow, who owned around 50 Ferraris since 1966 and still has 27 of them now.
This year has been a record breaking year for the Italian luxury car manufacturer; a Vintage 1962 Ferrari GTO was sold for $35 Million to become world’s most expensive car, and another record was set when a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for $32 million.
