Ferrari teams up with Movado for the Scuderia Ferrari watch collection
After association with limited edition offerings like the Ferrari 430 carbon fiber, Logic 3 iPod dock, and the Red & Yellow dialed watches, Ferrari Scuderia comes alive another time with the Italian car maker and Movado’s collaborated watch series. Created after a joint collaboration between the Italian car maker’s sports team, and the Movado Group, these watches will be about high breed creativity and sophistication in appeal, both of which are closely associated with Ferrari cars. But the sad part of it all is that one gets to see these watches only at the Annual Watch and Jewelry Fair in Switzerland in 2013, making horological fans wait for a while to get their hands on these.
Priced at $2,000 each, the watches will be available worldwide through an extensive logistical setup involving the whole sale stores, Ferrari stores, and also the online store of Ferrari. Reaching out so widely however, would not really compromise on the quality of watch, as some of the premier brands have their hands deep in it. Mr. Efraim Griberg, who happens to head the Movado Group, puts across this grand plan rather crisply, saying,
“We are extremely pleased to announce this new agreement with Ferrari and believe this will prove to be a mutually rewarding venture for both companies. The Scuderia Ferrari watches collection will feature compelling, identifiable designs combined with the high quality craftsmanship that Movado Group is known for. The Ferrari Formula 1 cars and Ferrari Road cars will provide great inspiration to our design group. We look forward to collaborating with them to design an innovative collection and to satisfy the requests of Ferrari enthusiasts around the world.”
Though the timepiece above looks just as crisp and sophisticated as it is meant to be, and hopefully should be a high demand item rather soon. Won’t be surprised to see it run out of stock! Also do check out the watches inspired by classic cars, which have some rather abstract options of this segment.
