Frederique Constant for Cohiba limited edition timepieces
This limited edition set is the result of a cooperation between Frederique Constant and General Cigar Company Inc. in the USA. General Cigar is the owner of the Dominican version of the Cohiba brand. The Dominican Cohiba cigar, which was reformulated in the 1990s, is the only Cohiba cigar that can be purchased legally in the United States. Meant exclusively for the U.S., the Frederique Constant for Cohiba Limited Edition timepieces are an expression of pure passion and pay tribute the cigar brand that has attained a cult status. The two companies have developed two extraordinary watches that echo the impression of the Cohiba brand. The luxury watch features an elegant case inspired by the Toro shaped cigars, an ivory colored dial, the tobacco brown Roman numerals and the hand-sewn tobacco brown Crococalf strap.
The watch will be sold in an attractive gift box that doubles as a humidor. The watches will be available in a limited run of 188 numbered pieces in steel ($1,650) and 188 pieces in rose gold plated ($1,750). Frederique Constant and Cohiba together will launch the exclusive timepieces during a dedicated event on Sept. 22, 2010 at Club Macanudo in New York City.
