Garrett Hedlund is an American TV and film actor who rose to prominence with a minor role in the hit epic drama “Troy” in 2004. In the same year, Hedlund got a chance to star alongside country music legend Tim McGraw who played his father in the film “Friday Night Lights”. Hedlund’s next big project was the crime/action drama “Four Brothers” in which he starred alongside Mark Wahlberg. Even though the film received a lukewarm response at the box office, the role help him secure a supporting role in the film “Eragon”. In 2007, Hedlund was cast in what was expected to a super box office hit “Georgia Rule” that had a stellar cast including the likes of Jane Fonda and Lindsay Lohan though the film fared rather poorly. Hedlund also appeared in the Kevin Bacon-starrer “Death Sentence”. Garrett Hedlund’s next big project came in the form of the 2010 sci-fi hit “Tron: Legacy”. Hedlund then got a chance to star in the country musical drama “Country Strong” for which he also recorded a number of songs. In 2012, Hedlund starred in the film “On the Road” with Sam Riley and Kristen Stewart. However, in early 2011, he had a much publicized fling with Leighton Meester who co-starred with him 'Country Strong'. The couple was seen getting cozy during a Golden Globes afterparty though neither appeared to have given the brief romance much thought thereafter. In October 2011, Garrett Hedlund began dating Kirsten Dunst and the couple has been going strong ever since. The tabloid press reported that the duo might have got engaged in early 2012, but the couple hasn’t confirmed the rumor so far.
