Geneva XXL iPod sound system combines AirPlay and multimedia capabilities
Geneva, which has shown its prowess at innovation and modernism in its designing of home theaters, such as the Geneva Media Center and Geneva Sound System, made their presence felt though the Geneva XXL system at CES 2012. With the platform being as large as it was, innovations such as these did make its presence felt, especially those that have combined Apple’s Airplay system along with dock station capabilities for Apple devices such as the iPod and iPhone. If that doesn’t do it all, the Geneva XXL has an HDMI output port as well!
Looking at the exterior container, the finishing is as eye-pleasing as one would expect them to be. Piano finishing or the ultra-smooth glossy exterior does manage to get eye-balls, and convey that it indeed conceals something high-end inside it. What’s the most surprising is that, the fabric used in the construction is wood, and it’s the magic of the lacquer which gives it the sheen we see. However, there will be 3 color options: white, black, and red which you can choose as per your taste and room décor. Beginning with the hi-end components, there is the 30-pin connector concealed within the cover on the top left hand side, which will help connecting the iPod to the system. Along with that, there are 10,000 different internet radio stations which can be chosen to play on the system’s 6 embedded speakers. They would comprise of the 2-tweeters, 4-woofers, including a class D 618 Watt amplifier.
If the audio doesn’t do enough, there is the slot to hold a screen of up to 65-inch width. So major flat-screens are for a perfect setting to be viewed either through iPod or even via the wi-fi Airplay system, built directly to match with Apple’s newest technology. That way, if the pin setup or the docking system doesn’t work for you, the Airplay system will do it. So now even serious gaming can take place too, without any glitches!
The pricing and stocks in the markets aren’t known as yet, so one has to keep a knock on the company website. But on the outset, this is one fancy gizmo we suggest everyone buys, simply for looks and technology combined.
