Apart from the distinction of being one of the biggest and busiest rail networks in the world, Indian Railways have also been one of the best ways to discover the richness and diversity of this country. Traversing on the same lines, India has launched yet another luxurious and expensive train service to attract rail enthusiasts from around the world. At a minimum charge of $800 per person, per night, the exquisite Maharaja’s Express Train Service offers royal services to all its 84 passengers. Equipped with suites with private bathrooms and plasma televisions, two restaurants serving Indian and Western food, a bar, card tables and an observation lounge, the Maharaja’s Express also offers the presidential suite worth $2500, which occupies an entire carriage and includes two cabins with double beds and a toilet with a bathtub. With a total investment estimated at $13 million, there can’t be a better way to see the true colors of this glorious country.
