Gold & Co. of London brings 24-carat gold plated iPad 2 to Dubai
Like its predecessor, the Apple iPad 2 has been the prime target of haute couture brands and designers since its launch. For the bling-bling lovers, London-based firm Gold & Co. has now unveiled a 24-carat gold plated iPad 2 in Dubai. The Gold & Co gold plated iPad 2 costs AED 20,000 (about $5,500). Other than the iPad 2, the firm has earlier given the gilded treatment to the first version iPad, iPhone and the iPod.
A spokesman for the company said that the original iPad was easier to gold plate since all the pieces are unclipped. The gold edition of the iPad 2 was launched at the Dubai Women’s Exhibition in Jumeirah, and will be exhibited until Thursday. Gold & Co has already received six orders for the gilded device.
