When you are crazy enough and have loads of cash to show off, one of the best ways is to get your favorite auto blinged up, or more so, gold plated. We had earlier seen a host of such special gold plated cars like the Visualis Porsche and the Mercedes C63 AMG, which were bathed in the precious yellow metal for a head-turning display of wealth. Now it’s a Russian collector, who has now put a 2005 model of the Porsche 996on the market, whose body features a similar kind of golden laden marquetry. For those interested to bag this vehicle, it comes with a $69,643 price tag.

This special Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet happens to use 20kg of gold leaves, which have been used with chrome wraps for the perfect look. The bill for this dressing alone cost $434,594 to the Russian collector who bought this car. The creative brain, who even has showed much of his handwork on car’s body, is Denis Simadev.

If the exteriors gold leaf plating wasn’t enough, plenty from the interior has also been given the ‘Midas’ treatment, especially the floor mat. Under normal circumstances, one would think twice upon stepping on to those, but it seems the collector all of much to spend on and spoil himself with.

The additions in the car would include the Gemballa exhaust, Brembo brake system, and a set of Techart wheels, which also has been covered in scaled gold leaves. So literally saying, this screams for attention and history has it, that it was indeed stolen once before being recovered.
