Produced in an ultra limited-edition of just 20 examples with 5 units for each season, the Nordic Seasons watch collection from the house of Swedish horological brand Gustafsson & Sjögren, is noted for its designs inspired from the rich contrast of the Nordic Seasons. Besides being the first GoS series to feature a case in stainless Damascus steel, the Nordic Seasons watches impressively boasts of Swedish tradition in metallurgy that dates back to Vikings, design inspired by Scandinavian nature and its traditional handcraft, exceptional combination of hand-forged steel and finest watchmaking, and passion of watchmaker Patrik Sjögren and bladesmith Johan Gustafsson to provide truly unique watches. And now for this Winter season, the watchmaker has presented the very last ‘Winter’ edition of its Nordic Seasons watches, which boasts an ice inspired dial created in Damascus steel hand-forged in Johan Gustafsson's unique Explosion pattern.
Ice is the theme of the Winter dial, which has been impressively created in tempered pattern welded steel ‘damascus’, whose surface is then treated by Patrik Sjögren to give it a lustrous ice blue color that change nuance depending on light conditions, reflections and viewing angles.
While the watch’s contrasting GoS spear-shaped hands in solid white gold are highly intelligible on the blue dial.
Notably, all of the Nordi Seasons watches come with a GoS strap, which is handmade by a Swedish artisan in Switzerland, using soft, velvety Nubuck leather, and comes fitted with screwed lugs.
