Greenyacht’s Zero 80 thinks for future of luxury eco-friendly cruising
Even though a large segment of superyacht designers create luxurious vessels for their niche customers, a lot of them still remain not so eco-friendly. But those thinking of the future have used the abundant sources of natural energy to power these yachts without comprising on luxury, the prime being the Arcadia 85 and the Superyacht 006. Joining that elite league is Greenyachts Zero 80, which provides the aesthetics and brilliance of Italian designers, with a viewpoint towards an eco-friendly cruise at sea.

Looking like a chapter from the book of futuristic yachts of its kind, the Super 80 has a 24 meter hull, with as much straight-line designing as possible. The main reason for such a design is the installation of solar panels, which will be the main source of electricity and energy requirements of the yacht, which is then supplemented by the wind-turbine. This has ensured that the engine which runs on normal fuel, will have a far less consumption rate resulting in lower carbon emissions and greater efficiency in supplementing the movements of the yacht. In terms of ergonomics, the yacht presents a straight and rather accessible passage to the master suite, which is located on the aft deck, with direct access to the rear end of boat, having the sun-bathing area. Rather private in placement, this area can also be later used to indulge in some water sports and snorkeling while cruising along. The notable point here is that the top speed wouldn’t cross 13 knots in all.
On the rest of the amenities inside, there is still enough space for 3 other guests, and an entourage of 4 staff members whose cabins have been separated out, but with direct access with the guest cabins. There will be complete silence inside the yacht, as the 2 main generators with electric motors ensure that there is hardly a sound even in the engine room of the vessel. So, when the summers are back next year, one could perhaps plan a cruise in their own ordered Zero 80 yacht, which would definitely have avenues of being further customized. Seems almost tailor made for a small family cruise vacation.
