Hennessey Performance’s $1.25-million Venom GT2 hypercar produces 1500 horsepower

Now after offering the $1.1 million 2013 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder, this supercar builder renowned for creating Texas-sized horsepower numbers in its modified supercars, has lifted the veil on its latest turbocharged road beast, the Venom GT2 hypercar. Scheduled to make its on-road debut in late 2013, this $1.25 million hypercar packs a powerful 7.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine delivering incredible 1500 horsepower.
Expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a whip of just 2 seconds, while finishing a quarter-mile drag race in just 8.8 seconds with a top speed of 287 mph, the Hennessey Venom GT2 boasts incredible aerodynamic improvements, with the specific changes to the roof, side mirrors and front air dam.
Notably, this exclusively tuned Venom features increased headroom with a double-bubble roof, and is available with a 7-speed paddle shift transmission option or 6-speed Ricardo manual.
Talking about the coast of extra power, the engine tunes coast $11,979 for 45-hp upgrade, while the custom wheels cost $17,317 and the exhaust system coast $6,525.
