The billionaire who holds the fourth position is Warren Buffett with a net worth of $53 billion. Buffett’s exorbitant wealth is generated by Berkshire Hathaway, a chain of firms owned by him. Larry Ellison who is within the top five of the billionaires list has been valued at $34 billion, courtesy the massive revenues generated by his technology firm Oracle. Christy Walton of the giant retail chain Wal-Mart holds the 11th spot in the Forbes list of American billionaires list is worth around $28 billion. The clout of American billionaire’s however goes way beyond the billions they hold in their bank accounts. American billionaire’s form one of the most influential business lobbies in the world and have a major say in economic policies in several free market countries. They are considered as role models by their legions of admirers around the world and are hailed for their rags to riches success stories. The companies controlled by them generate employment for millions of people around the globe.
