Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner is the founder and the chief creative officer of the iconic American adult magazine “Playboy Enterprises”. Hefner has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has also produced several television projects including the popular reality series “The Girls Next Door” which ran for six consecutive seasons.Hugh is highly educated and holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois.

The phenomenal success enjoyed by “Playboy” magazine all around the globe has turned Hefner into a multimillionaire with an estimated net worth of $45 million. The vast chunk of his wealth comes from his status as the majority shareholder in “Playboy Enterprises”. His annual income is speculated to be in the range of $3 million to $4 million. It is worth noting that just a few years back Hefner was worth around $200 million but suffered a significant erosion in his bank balance after the Playboy stock lost around 80% of it's value in a very short time span. 

The “Playboy” magazine founder leads the kind of lifestyle that causes much envy and heartburn to a lot of men around the world. Hefner resides in the iconic “Playboy Mansion” in the upmarket Beverly Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California valued at $54 million. The mansion is famous for the lavish parties thrown by Hefner which are always frequented by scores of beautiful “Playboy” models. Hugh loves to be driven around in luxury cars and his garage boasts of some of the most iconic luxury vehicles in the world like Cadillac, Porsche and BMW. The man also dedicates a part of his spare time to charitable activities and has started the “The Hugh M. Hefner Foundation” with the stated aim to promote civil rights and liberties. 

Hefner was born in Chicago to working class parents and is the eldest of two siblings. Hefner's personal life has been very colorful and has always hit the headlines of many tabloids. He married Mildred Williams in 1949 and subsequently the couple were blessed with two children. Unfortunately their marriage fell apart and they divorced in 1959. After his divorce he acknowledged of being involved with many of his playmates. Hugh married his playmate Kimberly Conrad in 1989 and the couple had two sons but this marriage also collapsed and they separated after nine years. Soon Hefner started dating many young women including his new girlfriend Crystal Harris. He proposed to Harris on December 2010 by gifting her an engagement ring. The couple had planned to tie the knot in June 2011 but Crystal called off the wedding just a few days before the event. The couple have again re-united from July 2012.
