Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils new Aston Martin watches
Renowned Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre has now come up with three new watch models that will surely interest James Bond fans. The company partnered with Aston Martin back in 2004 and the first offering from the duo was the AMVOX1 watch. The first watch in the line launched now is the AMVOX2 DBS Transponder watch, which integrates the transponder circuit into its body, serving to lock and unlock the luxury sports car, while maintaining the functions of its famous vertical-trigger mechanism. The DBS car owner simply needs to press the Open and Close position on the watch glass to open or lock the vehicle. It features no push buttons. Instead, the vertical trigger system of mechanical levers patented by Jaeger-LeCoultre allows the chronograph to be started, stopped and reset by pressing the sapphire crystal.
Second in the line is the AMVOX2 Chronograph DBS, which combines state-of-the-art sports engineering with exceptional horology. The functions are activated simply by pressing the sapphire crystal watch glass, while a function-locking device avoids the risk of any unintended activation or deactivation. The AMVOX2 Chronograph DBS watch combines amazing mechanical innovation with the qualities of reliability, longevity and precision, which are the characteristic of all Jaeger-LeCoultre mechanisms. The AMVOX2 Chronograph DBS is available as a limited series of 200 in 950 platinum and limited series of 499 in stainless steel.
Finally, we have the AMVOX3 Tourbillon GMT, whose case is made from 950 platinum and high-tech black ceramics. The tourbillion features an automatic movement with a tourbillion regulator. With its design inspired by the exalted world of Aston Martin cars, the AMVOX3 has its patented oscillating weight made from a segment composed of platinum and iridium alloy, and the arms made from carbon fiber.
The unique connection between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin is evident on all the three models.
