James Bond Submarine Up For Auction
In early January, I told you about New York national boat show that featured five boats from James Bond’s films. And, if you were disappointed then, over the fact that the power-packed jet boats were not for sale then here comes a wonderful opportunity to own much better then that, a mini-submarine from “The Spy Who Loved Me.” The submarine seats two, can go up to depths of 450 feet, and has a 5 to 6 hour battery life. Luxist reports that the movie’s producers were so enthralled by the submarine that an underwater chase scene was added to feature the 15′ submarine in the 1977 movie. The floor auction is being held in Dallas, TX on April 14 to15, 2006. The starting bid for the submarine is $13,000. So, gear-up all you James Bond fans!!
