A new whip from General Motors, it allows Leno to switch to gas when the electric is depleted. Leno is also one of the best-recognized owners of Chevy Volt, who has passed the 10,000 electric mile mark. Commemorating Leno's achievement, Chevrolet is reportedly planning to give the Volt owners a “10,000 Electric Mile” badge. Speaking of the 2011 Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid, it’s arguably the most fuel efficient car on the market. For Leno, Volt is an American car built without any compromises, and he even likes the interior of the car. As per a survey, its been reported that on an average, Volt owners fill up once a month and travel more than 900 miles between fuel fill-ups.

Television host, comedian, and well-known car enthusiast, Jay Leno’s biodiesel-powered EcoJet has recently claimed its fame with its ability to run on biodiesel and at the same time putting out an impressive 750 horsepower and 700 ft-lb of torque at 48,000 RPM from its Honeywell LT101 jet turbine engine. Covered in carbon fiber is an aluminum chassis kept in contact with the ground using existing suspension bits from the Chevrolet Corvette along with a four-speed automatic transmission from General Motors that minimizes engine speed down to 6,000 rpm. Adding to the luxury is its special carbon fiber brake discs from Brembo paired up with aluminum six-piston calipers and something new to the luxury is the Microsoft built dash, including a full Windows Vista-powered computer, of course, fully connected to the internet.

The comedian Jay Leno owns a brick red V12 Jaguar XKE, and has been photographed quite a few times refueling his car at a Los Angeles gas station. Leno’s Jaguar XKE has also been featured in an episode on the television program “Garage” hosted by the actor which showcases his collection of close to two hundred vehicles. The XKE comes with an open top and is considered to be one of most beautiful cars ever manufactured by Jaguar. Jay purchases and collects cars and motorcycles to gratify his passion to drive all of them. Jay is often spotted out for weekend rides and managing occasional breakdowns on the side of the road. Jay’s collection of cars spans 2 centuries of automotive history, and includes rarities like 19th century steam cars to 21st century sports coupes like Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley and Mustang. Jay’s most special car is his 1955 Buick, which is the first car he purchased and was his apartment on wheels in his struggling days as a comic stand-up. Dozens of craftsmen inspired by their own love of cars and Jay’s passion works in this garage to restore the collection. Each car tells a unique story, and Jay loves to share it with the world. Jay Leno has also undertaken a project to “greenify” his garage i.e make it eco-friendly.
