John Travolta is one of the most acclaimed and long serving actors of Hollywood. The million dollar personality that he is today wasn’t made in a day. He first burst into the scene in 1975 as Vinnie Barbarino in the TV series Welcome Back, Kotter that made him a star. After starring in a string of flops Travolta’s resurrection came in 1989 when he starred in Look Who’s Talking which grossed approximately $300 million. But it wasn’t until he played Vincent Vega in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction that he truly revived his career besides earning an Academy Award nomination. The multimillionaire actor who has appeared on the cover of ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine for a record four times is also a certified commercial pilot. He has to his name two of the most prestigious aviation awards. His passion for flying is highlighted by the fact that he owns an astounding five private jet planes. Three of these are Gulfstream whereas the rest comprise of a customized Boeing 707 and a Lear jet. Indeed, such is his enthusiasm for flying that he even named his son Jett when he was born some 20 years ago. Travolta’s $4.9 million estate in Ocala, Florida situated on Greystone Airport has its own private runway. A passionate vintage car collector, Travolta’s collection includes a Rolls-Royce, a Jaguar XJ6 and three classic Thunderbirds. His classic a 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL was recently stolen.
