Jorge Goval’s Zero day bed has everything to shun the world for ultimate relaxation

Andrea Divirgilio / November 3, 2012

An architect, designer and sculptor Jorge Goval who’s famous for his design work based on the fundamental principle that ‘simplicity is resolved complexity’, has now created a unique Zero Day Bed for Fanstudio. Inspired by the ‘tropisms’, a natural movement that plants experience when adapting to different environmental conditions such as rain, cold and darkness. Described to be more than just a chill-out bed, the multimedia Zero Day Bed is actually a luxurious lounging space that offers us protection and intimacy.

Excellent for both indoor and outdoor environments, the Zero Day Bed comes enveloped by a glass or carbon fiber crafted segmented shell which can withdraw or unfurl mechanically to the user’s choice, thus shielding the user from the sun, wind, rain whilst providing privacy and intimacy at its very best, anytime, anywhere.

Measuring 2.20m in diameter, the Day Bed made entirely out of aluminum, stainless steel, glass or carbon fiber, comes with a reclining back which can easily turn 360º to obtain the best orientation.
