The female body has always inspired artists to conceptualize some of the great artworks. After the recent bidding of supermodel Kate Moss imagined in a 18 carat gold statue in a yoga pose at Sotheby’s for $900,000, Moss's nude picture is now in demand. The supermodel's naked picture, where she is crouched into a ball, is up for sale at Bonhams Photographs Sale that is scheduled to happen on 17th November.
This photograph sale is selling iconic pictures of many celebrities, but Kate’s black and white nude picture clicked by famous fashion photographer Albert Watson in 1993, is talk of the town. In the picture, the sexy model has strategically hidden her assets and according to the photographer this is “among the best pictures ever of her”. The nude glory is expected to sell for $28,000 or may be more at the auction.
Other pictures that will go under hammer are Terry O'Neill's Brigitte Bardot picture that was taken in 1971. The picture, that shows Bardot posing with her open hair and a smartly placed cigar, is expected to fetch $9,562.
Another picture by Albert Watson is Christy Turlington’s semi nude smoking pose that was taken in 1990. The picture is expected to fetch $5,577.
One more iconic picture up for sale is Marilyn Monroe’s that was clicked by Andre de Dienes. This ravishing pose of Monroe was taken in Bel Air Hotel in 1952 and is expected to fetch $5000.
