Born Kevin Wayne Durant has an estimated net worth of $60 million. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Forward is an American professional NBA player. A strong outside shooter, Durant is a three-time NBA scoring champion, the NBA Rookie of the Year, and an Olympic gold medalist. Durant began playing basketball at National Christian Academy for two years, one year at Oak Hill Academy and at Montrose Christian School for his senior year. In the 2006-07 college season, Durant was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I Player of the Year. He also received the Oscar Robertson Trophy, and the Adolph F. Rupp Trophy. He became the first ever freshman to win the Naismith College Player of the Year and finally received the John R. Wooden Award. In 2007, Durant made his professional debut with an 18 point, 5 rebound, and 3 steal performance. He was also named NBA Rookie of the Year with averages of 20.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1 steal per game. In the 2009–10 season, Durant was selected to his first All-Star Game. Durant made his playoff debut against the Los Angeles Lakers on April 18, scoring 24 points in a Game 1 loss. Prior to the start of the 2010–11 season, Durant signed a five year contract extension with the Thunder worth approximately $86 million. On February 19 of the lockout-shortened 2011–12 season, Durant recorded his first career 50 point game, scoring 51 points against the Denver Nuggets. In the 2012–13 season, Durant scored a career-high 52 points in an overtime victory against the Mavericks. Durant became the youngest player in NBA history to join the 50–40–90 Club. At the 2012 Olympics in London, England, Durant set a record for most total points scored in an Olympic basketball tournament, previously held by Spencer Haywood.

At Christmas time, Durant has surprised disadvantaged children with presents and shopping sprees, which he started doing his rookie season.
