And, the making of the entertainer’s spellbinding stage costumes and accessories is revisited by Michael Bush recently released coffee-table art book, The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson, which is a collectible masterpiece designed to offer fans a glimpse of a side of MJ that they didn't know before. And, many of the wardrobe items depicted on its pages were sold at Julien’s Auctions administered sale of Jackson’s costume and ephemera from the Collection of Tompkins & Bush. And at this sale held in Beverly Hills, California, which raised more than $5 million, Lady Gaga was among the top collectors, as she bought 55 pieces, which she’ll get archived and expertly cared for in spirit and love of Michael Jackson, his bravery and fans worldwide.

Michael Jackson Crystal Glove
Price Realized: $115,200
Completely covered in hand-sewn Swarovski loch rosen crystals of various sizes, a white cotton right-hand glove with snap closure at wrist and interior label reading "Dennis Tompkins & Michael Bush,’ fetched $115,200 at the sale.
Michael Jackson 1973 Oscar Performance Ensemble
Price Realized: $51,200
Jackson wore this ensemble, a red synthetic blend tunic with back zipper closure, together with black synthetic blend, tab front flared trousers, as he performed the song at the 45th Annual Academy Awards ceremony in 1973. Both pieces feature labels from Cotroneo Costume of Hollywood with "Mike" typed onto each label.
Michael Jackson Bad Tour “Thriller” Jacket
Price Realized: $180,000
Bill Whitten-designed Thriller jacket for MJ to wear as he performed "Thriller" during the Asian leg of his 1987-1989 Bad World Tour. This jacket is discussed and illustrated on pages 76-77 and 82 of The King of Style by Michael Bush.

Michael Jackson wore this silver spandex shirt with zip front closure, 3 silver buttons at chest, and silver metal ‘Special Offer’ badges at each shoulder, as he performed on stage during the 1987-1989 Bad World Tour.
Michael Jackson Dangerous Tour Jacket
Price Realized: $216,000
A black wool blend jacket heavily embellished with gold tone metal police shields at each shoulder, a metal armband on right arm, and metal embellishment at collar, which was worn by Jackson on stage throughout his 1992-1993 Dangerous World Tour. This is one of two identical jackets created for Jackson's use throughout the Dangerous Tour.
Michael Jackson Dangerous Bad Tour Jacket

This black stretch gabardine, zip front jacket, heavily embellished with additional zippers at chest, is the one which Michael Jackson wore on stage during the Asian leg of the 1987-1989 Bad World Tour. A total of 4 jackets were made in this style for the tour. One jacket was made in leather, and the subsequent 3 were made of black stretch gabardine.
