The design work of Lamborghini Countach was executed by the famous automotive designer, Marcello Gandini, based at the Bertone auto design studio. At the time when Marcelo designed the Coutach, he wasn't very experienced in the field of automotive design, but with his eccentric imagination and creativity he came up with a breathtaking design concept that was admired globally. One key design feature of Countach is that its body is very low (only 42.1 inches) and at the same time not very long (only 163 inches). The distinctive wedge-shaped and angular body is entirely curved and cut out of trapezoidal panels. The scissor doors gave a signature Lamborghini look and attitude to the car. As per the overall design is concerned, it’s a two door coupe.

The layout of the sports car is rear-mid-engine and it has a rear –wheel drive mechanism. The exterior body is made entirely out of aluminum panels. The structure of the car is supported by a super strong space-frame curved out of 40 mm tubular steels. As far as the external dimension is concerned, the length, width and height of LP 400 is about 162.7, 74.28 and 42.05 inches respectively. Front and rear track are 58.95 and 59.74 inches respectively. Ground clearance is about 4.91 inches. Front and rear overhangs are 36.67 and 29.75 inches respectively. 205/70 VR 14 tires are used in the front and rear.
