TV's hot 'gossip girl, actress and singer Leighton Meester, has apparently decided to cozy down in life with a whopping $1.5 million investment for a home. Built in 1948, the plush pad is a single-storey, hilltop structure that is the actress' second house in New York.

Location: The ranch style home is located away from Beverly Hills, in the neighboring Encino which is present in the San Fernando Valley. It sits in the Royal Oaks neighborhood. Though the region is not considered so fashionable, the house definitely is!

Accommodation: The unassuming mansion boasts of extreme luxury and gracious accommodation. It has a total living space of 2,847 square feet and it has been well distributed in a open, flowing floor plan. There are 4 large bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a private entrance, a sitting area, a walk-in closet, a fireplace and an attached bathroom.

Main Features: Extensive lawns, bushes and flowering plants surround the home which has been well protected from peering eyes by thick foliage clusters. The outdoor grounds feature a paved walkway and a barbecue area along with a shimmering, blue swimming pool complete with changing rooms and bathrooms.

The grounds also have a pool bar beside the black-bottomed pool. A gazebo area has been created for a perfect al fresco dining. There is a separate TV den and an extra large family room. French windows and doors connect all spaces in the home with the outdoors which also have a landscaped backyard. The kitchen and the study areas have been done in earthy colors and are modern in every sense of the word. A home office and recording studio complete the home.

Neighborhood: The Royal Oaks neighborhood is just a drive away from Beverly Hills which is home to hundreds of celebrities. So, she should be encountering many of them on her walks and drives!

Leaving a salon with some of her friends, Leighton Meester was spotted driving a black Dodge Charger. The mid-size sedan is based on the same platform as the Dodge Challenger muscle car. The all-wheel drive is powered with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine. The performance sedan features touchscreen interface, multimedia options, ABS, Traction control, satellite radio, choice of special AutoStick automatic transmission, heated front seats, and power heated folding side mirrors amongst many features.

Brazil conjures up images of intense love, passion and romance, and a holiday there proved to be exactly that for a love-smitten Leighton Meester who was on vacation in Rio de Janeiro with boyfriend Aaron Himelstein. The couple frolicked and played around in the water, kissing and hugging, flaunting their intimacy and love without a care in the world. Riding the waves in a tiny pink bikini, the Gossip Girl star seemed to be in joyful heaven and Brazil seemed to have worked its magic again.

Accommodation: A number of top-quality hotels are available in this tourist-loving city. Hotel Santa Teresa and Copacabana Palace Hotel are well known. Beach penthouses, apartments and resorts too abound aplenty.

Main Attractions: With 80 kilometers length of beachlands, it is not a surprise that Rio is Brazil's most popular tourist haunt. Riding the waves, lounging on the beach, kayaking, paddling and sun-bathing are definitely on the cards. Snorkeling and fishing seem to be the favorite pastimes here.

Rio also has a large number of interesting places to visit. The statue of Christ the Redeemer is a must see and it has been named among the seven modern wonders of the world. There are three palaces to visit - the Guanabara Palace, the Pedro Ernesto Palace and the Tiradentes Palace. At the city center is the Santa Tereza tram bridge which is a wonderful photo-op place. One could also visit the national library, the municipal theater and the Olympic stadium.

A description of Rio can never be complete without a mention of the joyous and energetic carnivals which take place in the city during various times of the year.

Leighton Meester, among her various charity actions, is involved in combating cancer. In April 2012 she even registered as a potential bone marrow donor with GetSwabbed.org. So, it is not surprising that she was an active participant in the drive to donate clothes for charity aiding cancer. And when it comes to starlets like Ms. Meester the clothes are all of the designer variety. She was part of a team of celebrities who came forward to empty their plush wardrobes and closets for the auction. The auction which was held in April 2010 saw the participation of Nicky Hilton, David Walliams, Tyra Banks, Rupert Grint and Sharon Osbourne other than Leighton Keester. While Banks put the Catherine Malandrino dress on line, Osbourne gave a Burberry coat and Williams let go of a Tom Ford suit. All the designer clothes were auctioned away to all fans and collectors at the highest bid prices. The buyers too would not have had any qualms for all the earnings were pooled in to combat what can probably be considered as one of the deadliest diseases to plague mankind.

With short hair and an equally short dress, Leighton Meester completed her chic looks with suede ankle boots from Isabel Marant. With its wood-stacked heel and a cowgirl boot design, the boots are a lovely offering from the brand. This go-to label for the ultra-cool Parisian gals actually started off with men's accessories.

When "That's My Boy" premiered in Los Angeles in June 2012, Ms.Meester was one of the prominent attendees and prominent on her middle finger was the sea-pearl armor ring from Samira 13. The ring is a piece of fine jewelry from the designer, Samira Sizdahkhani, though it looks very strong and ancient.

It was a pleasant sight to see a smiling Leighton Meester get on to the pavement, looking bright and cheery in a knit stretch dress from Giambattista Valli. With its ultra-modern looks, lovely white-red combo, hidden back zip and easy-to-accessorize elegance, the virgin-wool dress is a blend of sensibility and sensuality.

Surrounded by autograph-hungry fans, Ms. Meester looked chic and cool in her V606S sunglasses from Valentino. The rockstud sunglasses arrives from a clothing brand, Valentino Spa which was founded in 1959 and derives its name from the studded rocks on top of the frame.
