Eco-friendly wooden TVs….yes, we have told you about them earlier too. Remember, Hannspree LCD TVs, then SWEDXs 26′ and 32′ LCD-TV sets embedded in natural wood. But, by now, the leading electronic brands which were busy in rolling-out their newest competitor model in Plasma and LCD range are now also coming forward to bring-out something for the eco-lovers. LG’s design centre has made its foray into the eco-friendly world with its newest eco-friendly 52-inch wooden plasma TV. CNET guys bore witness to this cutting-edge design, but were restricted from filming this of LG’s coolest new model. So, they instead knocked up this sketch to give you an idea as to what it looks like. Apparently, the bezel is made of compressed wood (derived from renewable forests) and finished in white water-based paint and the natural gleam is given a shining silvery touch with aluminum trim and voila…the designer plasma panel is ready!! LG has used lead-free or low-lead internal components to make it a total environmental-friendly design. The hush-hush model is still very much under wraps and so we have no idea whatsoever with the pricing and release date!!

UPDATE: We just discovered, SWEDX has extended its wooden LCD range with its 46′ and 40′ HD-Ready LCD-TV that supports up to ’1080i’ signals. Check-out a picture below.
