The new Black Widow collection from the Swiss horological company Ladoire Geneve is inspired by the nickname given to a highly venomous species of spider – Lactrodaectus Manctans. There are four watches in the collection and the highlight is the Black Widow “Mr. Green” watch, which has been designed to appeal directly and powerfully to the emotions. The case of the watch is about 51mm wide at its widest point and 41.77mm tall, and most of it is in titanium and DLC coated. The black multilayered dial has been given subtle touches of green and white. The multilayered dial structure delineates three regulator-type offset Hours, Minutes and Seconds zones with patented display complication (HMS Planetary) mounted on ceramic micro ball bearings.

Moreover, all the four watches in the new collection also feature a GMT function with a central hand adjusted via a fast-action pushpiece at 2 o’clock. The caliber, festooned with 38 jewels, runs at the rate of 18,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 52-hour power reserve.

Limited to only 12 pieces, the Ladoire Black Widow “Mr. Green” watch comes for 68,800 Swiss Francs (about $71,330).
