Since 1912, Montegrappa is adding glory to the world of fine writing. Recently we told you about the Frank Sinatra pen by Montegrappa icon series. Yet again the brand is all set to launch a new pen collection designed by its celebrated brand ambassador Sylvester Stallone. The star is a collector of Montegrappa pens and will be spotted in a new advertisement for the company.
The new limited edition collection is known as “Chaos" pen and the design of the pen is derived from the artworks of 16th century artists like Hans Sebald Beham, Antonio Pollaiolo and Battista Franco. The inspiration of the design was taken from his much talked about film ‘The Expendables’ and the craftsmen at the Montegrappa created this wonder. ‘Chaos’ is the first pen that is being launched under the ‘Cult’ collection form Montegrappa.
The pen is engraved with the symbols of life and death as it has some reptiles that represent the early life on earth and skulls that signify death. The pen has been intricately designed by the artisans by keeping even the minutest details in mind. This pen is specially crafted in precious materials and is finished by hand by skilled craftsmen. The body of the pen is crafted of black pearlized celluloid set in solid 18 karat gold and silver. The pens are limited in numbers and only 1912 have been crafted out of which 1,000 are fountain pens and 912 are roller ball in silver. In addition to that, 100 fountain pens and 100 roller pens are crafted in solid gold and 10 fountain and 10 roller pens are made in 18 karat gold with precious stones.
To match this impeccable series, the artisans have created special boxes to house these precious possessions. The boxes are available in solid gold, rock crystal and sterling silver. So, this Christmas this would be a perfect gift for the pen aficionado.
