lv trunk One of the finest examples of Louis Vuitton's bespoke art has been the iPod carrying case trunk made for Karl Lagerfeld. The latest commissioned piece from the celebrated house is the "Breakfast in the Desert" trunk, which allows complete entertainment on the move. LV's Patrick-Louis Vuitton said that the Chinese client wanted to be able to watch television and offer coffee to his friends wherever he traveled in the world, including the remotest desert. The "Breakfast in the Desert" trunk comes befitted with two solar panels linked to a battery for the flat-screen TV and DVD player, two-way radio, tuner and coffee machine. It took LV a year and tens of thousands of dollars to complete this red trunk in Damier canvas. It’s pure luxury for the client, but Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs thinks otherwise. He said, “I don't think there's anything practical about traveling with a trunk. Luxury travel is traveling with a toothbrush. That's it, end of story. The people who really live luxurious lives don't need to pack. They've got stuff wherever they go." Via: Luxist
