Madonna launches eyewear line with D&G
Known as the mother of reinvention, the pop icon Madonna shook the world with her outrageous fishnet stockings and her wildly colored hair over the course of her three-decade-long career, but while the diva has moved away from the paparazzi flashlights, she still has the capacity to remain a mover and shaker on the fashion scene. In her new venture, Madonna has joined hands with Dolce & Gabbana to launch MDG – the first sunglass collection personally designed by the singer. Using D&G’s strong link with femininity, the eyewear line with oversized and wraparound designs are inviting enough for the confident women. Marking Madonna’s first venture into the world of eyewear, the collection bears the MDG logo and are planned for a May 2010 launch.
