Marc Jacob is a well-known American fashion designer. He started his career in the fashion world at the young age of 15 years by working as a stock boy in a now defunct clothing boutique. Jacob designed his first collection in the mid 1980's which bore his label. Marc has been the head designer for the “Marc Jacob” designer label which has a chain of 200 stores in 80 countries for several years. The designer has also been working as the creative head of the iconic French designer label “Louis Vuitton” for the past fifteen years This year, Marc Jacobs celebrates 15 years as the creative director of Louis Vuitton. The artist has publicly admitted his gay orientation and has been in relationships with many men. Jacob has dated salesman Jason Preston for four years before moving on to another relationship with advertising executive Lorenzo Martone. Some reports in the media suggested that the pair had been engaged but it was denied later by the concerned parties. Unfortunately all these relationships have ended in a sour note. The designer is presently in a relationship with Brazilian adult movie actor Harry Louis.

Some other luxurious amenities include an entertainment lounge and a private screening room, a fitness center, and 24-hour valet parking. All the condominium and pent houses in this Manhattan project are registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and LEED Silver certification. The Townhouses are one of the leading full-service buildings by Chelsea Mercantile services having 24x7 doormen, valet, gym, roof deck, children's play room, and bicycle storage. UPDATE: Marc Jacobs West Village townhouse has been completely destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. The designer has not been able to salvage even his belongings.

Marc Jacob owns a three story garden apartment in Champ de Mars that was previously owned by designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. 

Location: Champ De Mars, Paris 

Accommodation: The property boasts of a master-bedroom, a living room, a massive entrance hall and an aesthetically designed courtyard housing a garden office. 

Features: The hotshot designer is always on the hunt for exquisite furnishings, which is evident in the living room boasting sofas and armchairs designed by the likes of Christian Liaigre. A Barcelona chair and footstool designed by Miles van der robe lines the front row of the living room along with a Christian Liaigre table. The Antique wall mounted mirrors were specially ordered from the popular Parisian furniture store Arabesque. Next up, the dining room tables are designed by Charlotte Perriand of the Gelarle Jousse Seguin fame. Jacobs very articulately mixed and matched modern pieces of furniture and decoration items with his traditional French rooms. Ceramic Birds and ashtrays designed by Jouve Georges adorn the side tables of the library, whereas the table, daybed and chair are Jean Prouve designs. The front hall consists of a footrest and couch by Francois Bauchet from Nootu Gallery, Paris. The bedrooms are adorned by velvet bedspreads from Conran shop, Paris and classy blankets from Louis Vuitton. The lamps and chairs, positioned artistically by celebrity Interior designer Paul Fortune, are from Porte de Vanves flea market, Paris. A Bra Shop, portrait by John Currin is one among several portraits in Marc Jacob's master bedroom. To sum it up there is an impressive Damien Hirst’s Paracetamol painting on the upstairs corridor along with a Richard Prince’s Island Nurse. 

Neighborhood: Champ de Mars neighborhood forms part of a large public park of the same name in Paris, situated in the seventh arrondissement bordering the Eiffel Tower to the northwest and the École Militaire to the southeast.
