Mark Jobs had finally made a switch from living in a rented Chelsea Mercantile townhouse to moving in his penthouse to moving in his $13 million townhouse on Bethune Street in New York’s West Village, he had bought in 2011.

UPDATE: Marc Jacobs West Village townhouse has been completely destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. The designer has not been able to salvage even his belongings. 

Marc Jacob owns a three story garden apartment in Champ de Mars that was previously owned by designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.

Accommodation: The property boasts of a master-bedroom, a living room, a massive entrance hall and an aesthetically designed courtyard housing a garden office. 

Features: The hotshot designer is always on the hunt for exquisite furnishings, which is evident in the living room boasting sofas and armchairs designed by the likes of Christian Liaigre. A Barcelona chair and footstool designed by Miles van der robe lines the front row of the living room along with a Christian Liaigre table. The Antique wall mounted mirrors were specially ordered from the popular Parisian furniture store Arabesque. Next up, the dining room tables are designed by Charlotte Perriand of the Gelarle Jousse Seguin fame. Jacobs very articulately mixed and matched modern pieces of furniture and decoration items with his traditional French rooms. Ceramic Birds and ashtrays designed by Jouve Georges adorn the side tables of the library, whereas the table, daybed and chair are Jean Prouve designs. The front hall consists of a footrest and couch by Francois Bauchet from Nootu Gallery, Paris. The bedrooms are adorned by velvet bedspreads from Conran shop, Paris and classy blankets from Louis Vuitton. The lamps and chairs, positioned artistically by celebrity Interior designer Paul Fortune, are from Porte de Vanves flea market, Paris. A Bra Shop, portrait by John Currin is one among several portraits in Marc Jacob's master bedroom. To sum it up there is an impressive Damien Hirst’s Paracetamol painting on the upstairs corridor along with a Richard Prince’s Island Nurse. 

Neighborhood: Champ de Mars neighborhood forms part of a large public park of the same name in Paris, situated in the seventh arrondissement bordering the Eiffel Tower to the northwest and the École Militaire to the southeast.

Renowned fashion designer Marc Jacobs was spotted enjoying his vacation on the beaches of St. Barts in December 2011. He was accompanied by his partner Lorenzo Martone. The couple were seen wearing very tiny swim shorts. They were also seen chatting and messing with renowned stylist Rachel Zoe. Marc was also photographed playing with Rachel's baby girl Skyler.

Marc Jacobs has been the driving force behind several charity campaigns including the Aid the international AIDS charity campaign as well as the NYU skin cancer institute spreading awareness against the rising cases of skin cancer worldwide.

Marc Jacobs, the well known fashion designer has been doing his bit for the society by associating himself and his organization with Aid for AIDS Intl Charity Tee Shirts campaign. He launched a special line of designer T-shirts created by children suffering from AIDS. The full proceedings of Mac Jacobs AIDS international charity campaign are forwarded to Aid for AIDS International (AFAI) used to not only provide a better life to the number of children suffering from the dreaded disease but also providing a committed campaign to fight against the stigma and discrimination associated with AIDS in a move to spread awareness against spreading of the deadly HIV virus. The T shirt collection designed by Marc Jacobs in association with the kids fighting the dreaded HIV virus are available for sale on his website and numerous stores worldwide with a specially designed AFAI logo on the back . The T shirts are available at a nominal retail price of $35 a piece and the proceedings are forwarded to AFAI.

Jacobs was snapped wearing the high-end Prada shoes at a prestigious event. The made in Italy boots boasts of soft leather in unique contrasting leather appliqués with padded insole. It features patented leather with a rubber dipped lace and heels measuring 15mm. The shoes are available in select colors and are worth $820.

The designer flaunted his designer Jeans while attending a popular function. It features a straight cut with classic carbon print effect at the edges of the five pockets and has a small silver embossed designer logo detailing at the rear belt loop.

Jacobs carried this high-end designer handbag while going for a walk. The Birkin handbag is completely hand-made and boasts of soft leather finishing. Stylish designs are present in both the front and back portions and the small steel lock at the center provides a sophisticated look.
