Hollywood heartthrob Matt Damon recently purchased a massive mansion valued at $16 million. The actor managed to get a good deal on the final transaction and shelled out $15 million saving approximately $1,000,000. Damon moved in to his new house a month back with his wife Luciana Barroso and four daughters. The design of the estate reflects a fusion of the traditional Spanish Colonial style architecture and California modernism.

Location: The estate is situated in the upmarket Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles in California State, USA.

Accommodation: The three storied house is situated in the middle of a 0.7 acre estate. The mansion boasts of seven massive bedrooms, a large living area, family room, dining area, a medium sized office, kitchen, 10 bathrooms and a media room. The garage can fit in 5 large cars at a time and all the three levels of the house are linked together by an open atrium. Two rooms serve as the maid’s quarters.

Features: The décor of the house reflects a super-earthly zen style and many rooms feature wooden flooring along with stone walls. The mansion has been equipped with several exotic features like a floating staircase, disappearing walls of glass, 35-foot mahogany vaulted ceilings and a spa pavilion. The grounds of the estate have been beautifully decorated with lush well maintained gardens and boasts of a massive outdoor swimming pool along with a koi pond. Damon regularly works out in the indoor gymnasium which has been equipped with some very expensive fitness equipment. The entire family unwinds by watching movies in the state of the art home theater system. Many of the bathrooms have been equipped with Jacuzzis.

Neighborhood: Matt’s longtime friend actor Ben Affleck lives in his immediate neighborhood. Other Hollywood celebrities like Hilary Swank and Kate Hudson reside in the same area.
