Mercedes-Benz expedition camper makes it even harder to shed the nomadic lifestyle
For all those people who find it hard to shed their nomadic lifestyle, this Mercedes-Benz Unimog expedition camper concept would instantly look adaptable. This camper-based go-anywhere Mercedes-Benz Unimog chassis would be one of the most exciting ways to catch some of the best settings on the planet. Featuring Portal axles to deliver excellent ground clearance along with coil-spring suspension with torque tubes and transverse links to allow as much as 30 degrees of axle articulation, this concept camper has a glass-reinforced composite body with a tough 2mm thick fabric-reinforced outer layer. Equipped with a bathroom behind the driver’s seat featuring a cassette toilet, wash basin and shower and a 10-liter combined gas/electric boiler to provide plenty of hot water, the camper also features a corner kitchen with a two-burner gas stove, sink and drainer. For every ardent adventurer’s delight, this expedition camper will be on display in Bad Kissingen from 3 to 6 June 2010.
