Other than the Beetle, few other small cars have managed to grip the fancy of auto-lovers like the Mini Cooper. Such has been the popularity of the small coupe car, that numerous limited editions have been introduced symbolizing various ideas, such as the British Royal wedding edition MINI, and Marco Mehn Swarovski MINI. Now with the 2012 London Olympics nearing, the company has introduced 3 limited edition models for commemorating the occasion. Available in 3 different color and 4 different model options, this limited edition is a sure shot way to display patriotism and pride.
This 2012 edition series will have 3 sporting colors to choose from i.e. chili red, white silver, and lightening blue. Other than the colors, a large number of additions will be common in these editions such as the Union jack stripe on the left hand side of the car running from tail end to the front engine bonnet, and also the seat headrests, the 17-inch sporting alloy wheels, white colored top ceilings with 2012 London Olympics logo, and the black leather seats which will bear the stitched and colored version of the sporting event’s monogram. The black leathering as a theme has been carried on throughout the interiors of the car, which has been given a special matt finishing. Depending upon your budget, you also get a variety of models to choose from, which shall have their own additional features to the Mini Cooper. The pricing options for them are as follows:
· Cooper Hatch- $27,842 (£17,800)
· Cooper D Hatch- $29,845 (£19,080)
· Cooper S Hatch- $31,477 (£20,125)
· Cooper SD Hatch- $32,629 (£20,860)
The production of these models has started, and delivery shall begin in the 1st half of 2012.
If you are not yet done with the limited edition options, please do check out our coverage of the Highgate convertible, and the Louis Vuitton limited edition. Looking at the mileage the car gets, literally and brand-wise, BMW certainly does seem to have struck a gold mine in the small car segment.
