Los Angeles home
Attending classes for theater and writing at the University of Southern California, the Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove decided to buy herself a lavish home instead of snuggling into a dorm! The 19-year old purchased a traditional home for a princely sum of $2.65 million in Los Angeles. Fenced by surrounding hedges, the whole property measuring about 12,700 square feet offers a high gate to assure privacy and keep away the paparazzi. The home is reported to have been built in 1952 and has been meticulously designed and maintained to ensure a luxurious living.
Location: This traditional home is located close to the University of California where the star attends classes, in the area called as Lower Outpost Estates in Los Angeles.
Accommodation: For a bachelorette and her dog, the house is definitely a mansion. It spans nearly 3,000 square feet in living area. This area has been well distributed to accommodate three large bedrooms and four bathrooms to go along.
Features: Within these hedged walls is a tranquil and large pool with a covered pavilion by the side to serve as a lounging area and TV viewing space. The most striking area of the home seems to be the chef's gourmet kitchen that has been made in Carrera marble. It has been stocked with the latest and best appliances that one could ever dream of. There are en-suites in all three bedrooms which have been provided with large walk-in closets too. There are separate wardrobes for her shoes. The master bathroom is queen size. Shutters complete the exteriors along with formal and gracious living and dining rooms.
Neighborhood: This canyon neighborhood of Hollywood Hills has seen quite a number of celebrities living in estates. Starting from General Harrison Grey Otis who was responsible for giving the neighborhood its name (from his clubhouse called "The Outpost") to actor Matthew Perry who recently sold out his home here.
