Update: Actress Mischa Barton puts her Beverly Hills mansion up for rent for $35,000 per month.

Mischa Barton put up her lavish Beverly Hills mansion for sale for a reported price of $8.4 million almost two years back but it is unclear whether she managed to land a buyer. The actress purchased the Tuscan style home in year 2005 in a deal valued at $6.4 million. The mansion served as the residence of Barton, her sister and their parents for the best part of five years.

Location: Barton’s mansion is part of a private gated community in the iconic Beverly Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.

Accommodation: The three storied house is surrounded by a 1.25 acre estate. It offers a cumulative living area of 7600 square feet and comes equipped with six bedrooms, living room, kitchen, ten bathrooms, media room, two guest rooms and a common dining area. The terrace offers majestic views of the surrounding Californian canyons. There is also a piazza like motor court and the garage can hold up to three big cars at a time.

Features: The outdoors of the mansion has been beautifully decorated with well maintained gardens and manicured lawns which serve as the venue for many of Mischa’s parties. There is also a large outdoor swimming pool. A spa has been installed inside the house and Jacuzzis adorn two of the bathrooms. The living room and the dining room are well decorated with French styled antique furniture. The climate control system is pretty powerful and comfortable. Neighborhood: Barton’s gated community is home to media tycoon Bud Paxson and actor John Stamos. Other notable celebrities in the area include singer Gwen Stefani, English musician Gavin Rossdale and American actor Woody Harrelson.
