The couple adopted Freeman’s step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines, from his first marriage to raise her together though in December 2007 Colley-Lee initiated divorce proceedings against Freeman alleging that Freeman had an intimate 10-year long affair with E’Dena. The couple briefly reconciled though their divorce was finalized in September, 2010. Their divorce settlement was the fifth largest in US history and Morgan Freeman was asked to pay his former wife of 20 years $400 million in cash as well as their New York penthouse apartment, several cars and other homes. Freeman has two sons Saifoulaye and Alphonso from previous relationships. He has one daughter named Morgana with his first wife and also adopted her daughter Deanna.
